Compilation EP Release
So, its been a couple of days since the Compilation EP actually released. But like my teachers used to always say, “Better late than never”. On December 1st the EP ‘Christmas Ya Christmas’ came out. A friend of mine in Florida is just now getting into the recording side of things with music and this little EP was his way of getting some practice while getting his foot in the door with a lot of the local artists.
Needless to say, it was a success. Not only that but the people he chose to record this EP are all very talented people. I was one of the lucky ones. I just happened to be in town when he was working on it and he let me jump in and lay down some sick beats. We had a blast and I love catching up with old friends.

Save the Ship (EP) – FREE
How many of you guys have known me long enough to have heard of a band called Save the Ship? Regardless of if you have heard of this band name or not, I know that I know you will love these songs. Quite a few years back we recorded two songs in Tennessee and there is no reason to have good songs fall to the side lines. I played a show a show last night with the bass player of this project. He has that new band called Gator Ghost. He said it was cool to give these songs away, so that is what I am doing. You will also be able to download this little two song EP not only right here, but also from the Discography section of the site from now until forever.

Anti-Tour Recap
With tour officially kicking off this weekend and it having been nearly eight months since the last tour, I decided to do a little recap of all the things we have accomplished on our hiatus. Although we have been off the grid in the music scene, we have gotten a lot on the table for you guys, and just in case you missed out on a few of them here they are.
New Full Length Record (Mother of Harlots)
New Hit Single (August Holiday’s)
Horror Novel (The End: A Zombie Novel)
Scary short stories Book (Horror Stories)
Rerelease of an older single (electro mix)
Not only did we release that stuff, but we also revamped the indie-inside site to a new look, which also added a lot of new free downloads and features (but you have to search for those to get them). The tour van-house is totally ready although updated pictures have yet to be released. Let’s also not forget that my beard had a birthday too. You can see the video of that here.
So with that, a lot of stuff has been going on although I haven’t been playing any shows. But no worries, that is about to change!

Tour is so soon!
This Thursday marks the beginning of a long string of what will seem to be never ending shows. Two days from today on August 22nd I will be playing an open mic in Orange, Texas at a place called ‘The Barking Dog’. It has been a long while since I have played any shows; 7 months to be exact. With that, I decided to get a practice show in at the local coffee shop before we hit the road. Tour kicks off with a home show in Beaumont, Texas on the 24th and we will be on tour in the South East for all of October and some of November.
I am supper ready!
The name of this never ending tour is going to be called ‘The Mother of Harlots Tour’. Posters are ready, we got new merch, the van is a go and it’s on! We are trying a new thing with tour booking this time around for 2012. I plan to intentionally play several open mic nights each month along the way (something I haven’t don’t a lot of in the past).
I will keep you posted on how it turns out.

Mission Complete
The last news post before this one was related to releasing a books page on this site. I also briefly talked about my goals as a writer for the fall. I decided that before the new year, I wanted to get at least 5 short stories published in various anthologies and to have a short stories collection book finished and published also. My goal for the book was to have at least 10 short stories.
Well, guess what. It has been officially 41 days since that last post and I have already completed the goal. I have published 5 shorts and a collections book. Some of the anthologies tales are still in the printing process, one of which released today. You can click here to take a peek. And the contract for the Short Stories book was finalized this week. My editor Anthony Giangregorio is in the process if cleaning up my tales before we release the book. If you have read the Novel, “The End: A Zombie Novel”, then you have seen Anthony’s work in action. He is amazing at cleaning things up. A good story always has a great editor hiding in the shadows.
Anyway, I just thought it was cool that I met the goals and way sooner than I ever expected. If the collections book comes out in time, I might even have paperbacks of it also available for this October tour. I don’t know. We’ll see!

Its story time!
I have an update to the indie-inside site that you may not notice from first glance. I have added a new page called Books. You will see it in the sites top navigation. After the recent release of my novel “The End”, I have been challenging myself as a new writer. By writing short stories that in turn have been submitted to various anthologies, I have already locked down a few anthologies. And with that have decided that the books section of this site as a new addition seemed suitable.
My goal for the fall leading into the end of the year for writing is this: I plan to challenge myself to at least get a total of five anthology submissions locked down and then turn around and release a book of at least 10 self-written short stories as an EBook and paperback.

Living Dead Press Review
So as you all know, I just got my first book published by a company called LDP. If any of you have even done business with me, you know that I am a stickler about many things in this area and can easily become irritated when dealing with people, businesses and organizations. Because of this personal trait I decided to write a quick little review about my working experience with LDP.
For starters, when I submitted my work to the company they got back to me that day. That was a number one for me. Punctuality is key, and in today’s fast paced media market via the web, there is no reason for times when it takes people weeks or even months to get back to you, even if it just to say we are busy right now.
Secondly, the editor that I was assigned by the publisher actually took the time to talk with me over the phone for over an hour on several occasions simply to discuss the book and my writing style. Communication! For those of you that have ever done booking with me, you know that I highly regard communication as the top priority when working with others. I was totally impressed with this aspect of the publications desire to work with me on putting out the best project that each of us would be happy with. Throughout the entire project, as things moved along, the editor Anthony Giangregorio made the effort to keep me in the circle. I was very happy with this. A lot of times you find yourself pulling teeth just get a response on a projects progress and with LDP this was not the case.
One thing the publisher also did was allow me to do the cover design for my own book. We did have to go through a few proofs before it was something they were happy with, but it was worth it and we ended up with something we were both very happy with.
With all of that said, I will say this: no other publisher will work as hard or communicate as much or bend over backwards as much to help insure that you are happy with the end result of the product. I highly recommend working with them if you are in the market for a publisher!
